And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth, my people, out of her, that ye have no fellowship with her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Revelation 18:4 ASV
And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and is become a habitation of demons, and a hold of every unclean spirit, and a hold of every unclean and hateful bird. Revelation 18:2 ASV
When we talk about the Babylon of Apocalypse, we easily point to Rome. Yet, whether or not it is Rome, the book of Apocalypse shows that the local Babylon sitting on the seven mountains reaches everyone on earth with her abominable influence. The whole earth has been drinking of her wine, says Apocalypse. Even God's people are found within Babylon to the effect that Jesus calls on all of us his people in Babylon to come out so that we are not victims of the plagues which are to befall her. The call to come out implies that Jesus will not save us if we insist on staying in Babylon. Jesus says that those of us who will hear Him will gather into one flock or fold.
The beast, the agent whom Satan gives his power, authority, and throne, carries Babylon, and carries, among other things, titles of blasphemy. The blasphemy is against God (Jesus). That is to say that the grip of Babylon on us is deeply and spiritually doctrinal.
Revelation 17:15 ASV
(15) And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Revelation 13:7 ASV
(7) And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and there was given to him authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
Revelation 13:4-9 ASV
(4) and they worshipped the dragon, because he gave his authority unto the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? and who is able to war with him?
(5) and there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and there was given to him authority to continue forty and two months.
(6) And he opened his mouth for blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, even them that dwell in the heaven.
(7) And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and there was given to him authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
(8) And all that dwell on the earth shall worship him, every one whose name hath not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb that hath been slain.
(9) If any man hath an ear, let him hear.
It is not without reason that Jesus is calling all of His people to come out of Babylon (Revelation 18:4). The message is not a futuristic message but a daily one because it is written that Babylon is guilty of all the blood that is shed on earth (Revelation 18:24). The book of Apocalypse specifies the blood of the saints, of the Prophets, an of the witnesses of Jesus as the guilt of Babylon. Let us not be nonchalant, not play deaf, not be misled. We must investigate our belief system for any blasphemy from the beast and abandon them to follow the will of Jesus (God) in the Scriptures of the Jews because He says that salvation is from the Jews not from Babylon and to be able to come out of Babylon. The ultimate doctrinal sacrifice is holding to the words of Jesus and be killed by the beast to overcome, which is the passport to the new world to come (Revelation 12:11).
Revelation 18:4 ASV
(4) And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth, my people, out of her, that ye have no fellowship with her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues:
Revelation 18:24 ASV
(24) And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all that have been slain upon the earth.
Revelation 12:11 ASV
(11) And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death.
