And in her [Babylon] was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all that have been slain upon the earth. Revelation 18:24 ASV

And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet-colored beast, full of names [titles] of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.  Revelation 17:3 ASV

Revelation 17: the last beast (8th King) out of the abyss with 7 heads and 10 horns carries the harlot Babylon

  • The great harlot (city) which sits upon many waters (peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues

    Revelation 17:1-2 ASV

And there came one of the seven angels that had the seven bowls, and spake with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the judgment of the great harlot that sitteth upon many waters;  (2)  with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and they that dwell in the earth were made drunken with the wine of her fornication.

  • The woman (city Babylon) is seated, says the Greek language, on wild beast (king) of 7 heads and 10 horns

    Revelation 17:3 ASV

    (3)  And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet-colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

  • The woman (Babylon) reigns over the kings of the earth

    Revelation 17:18 ASV

    (18)  And the woman whom thou sawest is the great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

  • The woman (Babylon) wages holy wars and is intoxicated with the blood of the holy ones and of the witnesses of Jesus

    Revelation 17:6 Darby

    (6)  And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And I wondered, seeing her, with great wonder.

  • The king beast with the woman was, is not, and is about to appear out of nowhere (abyss) but will be destroyed

    Revelation 17:8 DRB

    (8) The beast which thou sawest, was, and is not, and shall come up out of the bottomless pit and go into destruction. And the inhabitants on the earth (whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world) shall wonder, seeing the beast that was and is not.

  • The location of great harlot city Babylon. Keep in mind that the woman (city) is also said to be intoxicated with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus in revelation 17:6

    Revelation 17:9 ABP

    (9) Here is the mind of the one having wisdom. The seven heads [seven mountains are] where the woman sits upon them.

  • The 7 heads of the beast are 7 kings, minus 5, plus 1, and one to come

    Revelation 17:10 ABP

    (10) And [kings seven there are] -- the five fallen, the one is, the other not yet is come; and whenever he should come, [a little he must remain].

  • The beast is the 8th king, from the 7 kings. That is, he was king, is not king, and is to become king again to be not ever again.

    Revelation 17:11 ASV

    (11)  And the beast that was, and is not, is himself also an eighth, and is of the seven; and he goeth into perdition.

  • The 10 horns of the beast are also 10 other future  kings whom the beast probably gave authority as kings

    Revelation 17:12 ASV

    (12)  And the ten horns that thou sawest are ten kings, who have received no kingdom as yet; but they receive authority as kings, with the beast, for one hour.

  • The 10 kings are very loyal to the beast king and defer to the beast king

    Revelation 17:13 Darby

    (13)  These have one mind, and give their power and authority to the beast.

  • The coalition of the 10 kings and the beast king will make war with Jesus but Jesus wins the war. This seems to be the war with the white horse Rider with the militaries of the world in Revelation 19.

    Revelation 17:14 Darby

    (14)  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them; for he is Lord of lords and King of kings: and they that are with him called, and chosen, and faithful.

  • The final war of the white horse Rider

    Revelation 19:19-21 Darby

    (19) And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against him that sat upon the horse, and against his army. (20) And the beast was taken, and the false prophet that was with him, who wrought the signs before him by which he deceived them that received the mark of the beast, and those that worship his image. Alive were both cast into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone; (21) and the rest were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which goes out of his mouth; and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

  • First, before the ultimate war against Jesus, the 10 kings who pledge total allegiance to the king beast will fulfil the fall of the harlot city

    Revelation 17:16 Darby

    (16)  And the ten horns which thou sawest, and the beast, these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her with fire;

  • Why would the 10 kings burn down the harlot city Babylon which is so dear to their king beast? God (Jesus) makes them do His will!.

    Revelation 17:17 Darby

    (17)  for God has given to their hearts to do his mind, and to act with one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

  • Definition of the imagery of waters under the harlot

    Revelation 17:15 Darby

    (15)  And he says to me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.

  • Remember that the beast is given free reign on every soul on earth as a test to filter out God's people who will die opposing his mark in order to overcome. Whoever the beast (king) kills because of resistance to him has won THE ticket to the new world. Look, there will be no more human rights or constitutional rights.

    Revelation 13:7 ABP

    (7) And was given to him to make war with the holy ones, and to overcome them. And was given to him authority over every tribe, and language, and nation.

The fall of GREAT Babylon parallels Isaiah 47 Babylon

  • Babylon is a Great city of importance because it controls the whole world

    Revelation 18:1-3 ASV

    (1)  After these things I saw another angel coming down out of heaven, having great authority; and the earth was lightened with his glory. (2)  And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and is become a habitation of demons, and a hold of every unclean spirit, and a hold of every unclean and hateful bird. (3)  For by the wine of the wrath of her fornication all the nations are fallen; and the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth waxed rich by the power of her wantonness.

  • Come out of Babylon, My people! Jesus's people are summoned to come out of Great Babylon. Understand that the woman and the beast team for the given ultimate control of every one. The beast (8th King) carries the woman. The beast is given power over every soul including those who believe in Jesus and the woman sits on everybody. Jesus will not save us if we insist in staying inside of Babylon because He is calling us out.

    Revelation 18:4-5 ASV

    (4)  And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth, my people, out of her, that ye have no fellowship with her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues: (5)  for her sins have reached even unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

  • Self-confidence of harlot Babylon blinds her unto an astonishing destruction.

    Revelation 18:6-8 ASV

    (6)  Render unto her even as she rendered, and double unto her the double according to her works: in the cup which she mingled, mingle unto her double. (7) How much soever she glorified herself, and waxed wanton, so much give her of torment and mourning: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall in no wise see mourning. (8) Therefore in one day shall her plagues come, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire; for strong is the Lord God who judged her.

  • How does the woman, the great harlot, Babylon ends? Burned down swiftly by the 10 kings of her supporter (Revelation 17:16) the 8th king beast

    Revelation 18:8-10 ASV

    (8)  Therefore in one day shall her plagues come, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire; for strong is the Lord God who judged her. (9)  And the kings of the earth, who committed fornication and lived wantonly with her, shall weep and wail over her, when they look upon the smoke of her burning, (10)  standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

  • Note that even though one Babylon has fallen as one city, yet the text speaks of 'THEIR' merchandise, not 'her' merchandise. Note also that the rap sheet merchandise imagery includes 'bodies (slaves?) and souls of men'.

    Revelation 18:11-19 ASV

    (11)  And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, for no man buyeth their merchandise any more;

  • Note the list of those who are to claim justice with the fall of Babylon. Think about the list. The misleading influence of Babylon has been far-reaching. Remember that the beast is Satan's agent. Those of us to be saved must be holy (the saints)

    Revelation 18:20 Darby

    (20)  Rejoice over her, heaven, and ye saints and apostles and prophets; for God has judged your judgment upon her.

    Revelation 18:24 ASV

    (24)  And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all that have been slain upon the earth.

Bullet point characteristics of the woman, the harlot, or the great Babylon

See the relation between the beast and the woman: he carries her.

Babylon is carried by the beast (the last 8th King who was, is not, and about to come) is the Agent of Satan who gives him his throne, his given power, and great authority. In other words, Satan is in control of Babylon no matter how innocent its leader is with his two horns like a lamb (Revelation 13:11).

Revelation 17:3-4 ASV

(3) And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet-colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

(4) And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations, even the unclean things of her fornication,

Revelation 17:6-7 ASV

(6) And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with a great wonder.

(7) And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou wonder? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and the ten horns.

Revelation 17:9 ASV

(9) Here is the mind that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth:

Revelation 17:18 ASV

(18) And the woman whom thou sawest is the great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Revelation 17:15 ASV

(15) And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

We read that the beast out of the sea is the enabler of the first beast because he caused to be made the image of the first beast.

Both the image of the first beast and the current beast (the 8th king) can speak. The beast out of the earth speaks like a dragon (Satan). The dragon speaks against God (thou shall not die, et cetera) which is blasphemy.

Both beast and woman speak blasphemy.

Thus, it is a doctrinal war we have to wage against the protagonists of Satan. Keep commandments of God and faith of Jesus.

You will observe to do just as Yahweh your Elohim had enjoined on you. You shall not withdraw to the right or to the left. Deut 5:32 CLV
